We have enormous power to improve our health, well-being and the ability to prevent diseases, simply by making better choices in our lives.

In the past scientists believed our DNA held the key to our health. But today we know that our environment, and not our genes, is the primary driver of our health. 

Epigenetics (Epi=above) is the study of how our internal and external environments change the expression of our genes. Basically what it means is that genes can be switched on and off depending on our daily lifestyle choices.
According to experts such as Dr. Deepak Chopra, Dr. Bruce Lipton and others, only 5% of disease (and perhaps even less) is “purely” related to genetics. 95% of diseases are related to our lifestyle choices!

90/10 Way of Life

Usually when people try to eat totally healthy they can only do it for for a limited period of time. The 90-10 way of life means that 90% of the time you eat what is healthy for you, and 10% of the time you eat whatever you feel like eating. By giving yourself a 10% range of flexibility, you can indulge yourself without guilt while maintaining a much healthier diet.

Small Changes Make Big Difference

Think of a typical habit like brushing your teeth or putting on your seatbelt. Those actions are small enough that you don’t bother to think about them, but they have a huge impact on your life. 
Now imagine thinking about your life goals not as those big things that you’ll do when the time is right or with better resources, but as small and impactful behavioural changes that are easy to repeat.
You don’t have to take huge and radical steps to change something in your life. Small and simple changes are what makes big dreams a reality.
